Volume 2 2027
Theme: Lifeforms
Humans have tried and failed to define life for thousands of years: science tells us living things must produce or consume energy, respond to the environment, grow, and reproduce; ancient Greeks believed all living things had both form and matter, where matter was the existence of a physical body, and form was the soul, the essence of life.
However it’s defined, life cannot be substantiated in a single concept or idea.
In this anthology, we want you to explore the vast reaches of what life is and can be, on Earth and beyond. Microscopic or colossal, real or imagined, tell us a story that explores the bounds of life and form.
